Thread: Laced marijuana leads to murder of a child

A New Jersey man was apparently high on marijuana laced with PCP when he killed a 6-year-old boy earlier this week. A 12-year-old girl was also violently attacked at the same time, but lived to reach out out for help.

31-year-old Osvaldo Rivera was a well known marijuana user in his Camden neighborhood, and many considered him to be a harmless pothead. Then everything changed once he smoked some marijuana laced with the deadly violent inducing drug, PCP.

Rivera allegedly attacked 2 small children with a knife during the night while they were sleeping, a 6-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl. Police say Rivera cut the throats of both young children leaving them for dead where they slept, then fled the scene.

The bleeding little girl then found her way to a neighbors house about 2 a.m. to get help, but it was too late her for little brother who did not survive the gruesome attack. She identified her attacker as "Popeye", which was Rivera's well known nick name.

this is a main reason i grow my own smoke and i DO NOT buy from shady people no matter the situation. this world is crazy.. my heart goes out to this family that is going through this nightmare.

and if it where legal this would of never happened! he would of been smoking store bought regulated marijuana instead of PCP!

I wonder if it was the Marijuana or the PCP that put him in the frame of mind to kill a child...hmmmmm.. i wonder how many uneducated people will tie the child's death to Marijuana in their head...

They should of said PCP leads to this because marijuana had little to nothing to do with these crazy acts. Don't worry about PCP being slipped to you the stuff stinks and is totally noticeable. Its a popular to smoke PCP on cigarettes or joints. you wont really feel the weed because the PCP is so strong. I have smoked plenty growing up and never saw anyone lose there shit. Definitely hard to slip someone it taste like chemical death. But if either one is to blame its the PCP. I think the guys sounds like a creep and it was probably already in him. I have gotten high on lots of different shit and never had any thoughts of hurting people.
