Re: A lil more help...... haha
I would def recommend an RH meter especially if you are adding a humidifier so you know if you need to turn it off. I would get a no mist humidifier from Vicks. It creates humidity w/o shooting vapor in the air.

you could try just leaving a few gallons of water in a bucket uncovered in your closet. this will raise the humidity quick. but def invest the 5bux in a hygrometer so u know exactly what the relative humidity is

Try dry ice it will make some humidity and release co2

Re: A lil more help...... haha
The problem with dry ice is he would need to go buy it over and over again to maintain RH, once the ice is gone, so is the humidity. The water bucket would be better than the dry ice, but again, when you reach your desired humidity you will need to
A. Be home to make sure the humidity doesn't doesn't go way to high ( lol )
B. remove and replace the bucket as humidity raises and drops.
I def don't reccomend dry ice, it's more of a pain and is not cost effective. For less than 50$ you can get a nice, no mist humidifier and a plug in RH meter that auto shuts the humidifier when it reaches a certain level and will also turn back on if it get low. You will never think about it again. Well, I do recommend cleaning the humidifier once a week.
