    Default plants getting too tall?

three of my plants are already hitting the light at 1.5 week into flower. I tied them down with some thread, but is this the way to solve it? if tying them down causes stress should I top it? topping is a bit harsh ya think?

    thanks for more newbie help

it wont stop but no you cant top it that would be just a tragedy, its stretching for a reason for placement of buds you cut it off you mess with her and can stress her out real bad.

dont tie it down with fishing string tie it down with something a little thicker so it doesnt strangle herself and cut through her branches. just start slowly bending and tying a lil more each day as it trains itself into its new position pretty easily so the next day might be easier to move a little more.

your gonna have a task at hand if you cant raise your light but definitely possible.

but like i said people make the best out of the worst situations and the plant still grows!

right on, I used some semi/thick sewing thread, tied them down and within six hours the buds turned and were already looking back up at the light. i will just check it daily and keep cinching the threads and needed. will update more pics on journal.

the light mover has this bar thing that i can probably remove to raise light up a little higher but it will take some macguyver shit and look lame. i still say i put them in 12/12 a week too late. timing is a key factor to all this growing stuff. but i am liking it

now I wont be able to rotate pots though.

thanks for the pic too that made me fell better.

    late

    Say what what?

Super cropping? pinch the stem between your index and thumb until you feel it 'snap' and then gently roll/bend it to one side. Yer breaking the innner core called the hurd which when it heals back up, much like you do with a scab, it'll be like a knuckle now making the branch stronger and allowing it to uptake more.

Also turns the branch into what I'd call a poor man's LST. Now that its laying down the branch will turn its top and what was before its under growth up to the light creating multiple bud sites.

these Lavender and purple kush plants were grown using the method NL described mostly and a little LST well more like HST they like it rough. I grab the stems where I want them to bend and squeeze them between my thumb and index finger until I just feel it start to give like its about to break but you let go at that point before it breaks It should be pretty bent but still holding itself up. Some plants will fight harder for the light then others. Those might need to be tied down

dont use thread or anything thin...the plant will grow right through it and the thread will cut into it...get some hemp string for 2 bucks.

I dont recommend supercropping once buds are in full bloom......each time you supercrop your plant or do any other sort of stress training .......your plants divert attention away from there primary focus( creating buds and filling them in) to healing or repairing.....good luck
