Thread: Can Medical Marijuana help Fibromyalgia Patients to reduce their pain?

I read an article which says medical marijuna help Fibromyalgia Patients to reduce their pain. It says according to a new Canadian study, one in eight patients diagnosed with fibromyalgia uses medical marijuana to medicate and ease their pain. Fibromyalgia affects 2% of the population in the U.S. Is it true? How medical marijuna helps to Fibromyalgia Patients?

i got my mom onto smoking weed to control her fybro and she says its the only thing that helps!! and she has been trying different pills for years!!!!

when i was growing up my mom was always against weed, and she hated that i smoked it everyday lol. but as her pain got worse over the years, and the info about medical use of marijuana became more accepted, one day she just gave in and asked me how it could help her!!

since then my mom has got off all pills (except blood pressure) and smokes 3-4 joints a day and most days has no pain. she still does have bad days, but not nearly as many. she has been able to go back to work and live a normal life. funny thing is tho, we live in canada, and she cant get a dr to sign the medical marijuana paperwork because the canadian government is punishing doctors that recomend pot, its gotten crazy here. i got a dr to sign mine a while back but since then everything has changed.

canada is turning to shit because of a shit government that has no clue what their doing with anything. wont be long till were just as fucked up as the states lol

I heard about these rules of Canada which are against to medical use of marijuana, i just want to ask from that shit goverment if there are so many advantages to legalizing marijuana, why doesn’t the government follow through with it? Why does it not have enough support to push it through?

Not sure bout Canada as I live in the beautiful usa , but with any law there are pros & cons .. as I'm a medical patient I'm protected under certain state laws but other then those few state laws I'm fucked otherwise .. I'm sure its the same for other countries u have to consider the retaliation from drug lords upon federal govts that allow the use and cultivation of marijuana or any other drugs for that matter .. and there already in the streets so if we take away there cash crops for our own use imagine the wars will b in our backyards .. that's only one huge con to pro pot govt . There's so many bullshit political aspects we could touch on my head is hurting .. so untill there knocking on our doors .. smoke one with ya boy ..

Today, anyone who's tried to make excuses for Obama's horrible handling of all this should just stop. Anyone who says this President is secretly a friend of the marijuana reform movement should close their mouth. Anyone who's claimed that "they're only busting bad dispensaries" can cut the crap. This is a war. It's Obama's war. And to my friends who are too afraid of Mitt Romney right now to criticize Obama, I say you're making our President more dangerous by meeting his mistakes with silence.
